The structure was probably built in the 15th century from field stones and bricks. The Brandenburg State Office for Monument Preservation and Archaeological State Museum (BLDAM) assumes that the church tower was only added in the 18th century. The nave and tower are plastered. In 1823 the windows were enlarged in a "baroque" style, and in 1899 the nave was extended by two axes to the east. At the same time, the upper part of the tower received a mansard roof. In 1992 the church was restored; 2016 the altar and 2019 the pulpit.
