Great place, lots of nature, a lot has been done compared to before, e.g. seating, a path that goes almost all the way around the small lake, one or more entrances into the water.

Easy access. A beautiful setting. The grounds are very well maintained and invite you to explore and take photos. You can spend a wonderful time there and feel like a lord or damsel of a castle. Not an original ruin from the Middle Ages, it was designed as a ruin and built at the end of the 19th century.

Great place, lots of nature. A lot has been done compared to the past, such as seating, a path that almost completely surrounds the small lake, and one or more entrances to the water. As far as I could see (I'm there often), the lawn is always well-maintained for lounging in warm weather.

A very beautiful old ruin. From the top of the tower, you have a great view. It's easy to reach, and there's plenty of parking (even free) down below.

The Theresienstein is one of the oldest parks in Bavaria created by citizens. In 1816, the first plans were drawn up to make the municipally owned Fröhlichenstein – a double rock formation on the Ahrleite River – more accessible and to plant it with plants. The Fröhlichenstein was a popular vantage point with unobstructed views of the Saale River and the city, a feature already appreciated by the poet Jean Paul and described in his Siebenkäs (The Seven Cheese). Winding paths and staircases provided access to the ascent. On the highest point, the double rock itself, a wooden circular structure, the so-called Sun Temple, was built in 1818. It was demolished in 1848 due to dilapidation. The current structure was designed based on old drawings for the 1993/94 State Garden Show.
