The Hofmarkt Tavern in Erdweg was essentially built in the 15th/16th century. The tavern of the former Hofmark at Hauptstraße 14 is a protected architectural monument. Its use as an inn has been documented since 1468. The building acquired its current appearance in the early 19th century. The stately gabled building with dovetail battlements was acquired by the municipality of Erdweg and extensively renovated from 2011 to 2015. In 2016, the municipality and the IG Wirtshaus am Erdweg (Irish Association of Wirtshaus am Erdweg) received the Monument Protection Medal of the Free State of Bavaria for their exemplary restoration of the building.
