The 2.35-hectare site, with its tranquil seating and play areas, diverse planted and water features, and bridges and paths, forms an important link between the Kurparkbad, the old spa facilities, the town hall with the spa administration, Bahnhofstraße, and the newly designed market square in the old town center. The aim was to preserve the historically significant railway situation that characterizes the area, and one of the former railway tracks was redesigned into a pond basin.

On the fountain column, three figures can be seen: a holiday couple and a local woman. The local woman pushes the tourists' luggage on a wheelbarrow. The sculpture group shows in detail how, in the 1930s, the suitcases of the first holiday guests were picked up at the train station and transported to the guesthouses. The design comes from the artist Siegfried Schriml from Zwiesel. The bronze figures were cast in 1991 by Anton Gugg from Straubing.
