The dam itself is over 100 years old, but is no longer in use. Instead, two bridges were built connecting the dam to the mainland in the east and west. When walking across Bagges Damm, you get the feeling of strolling in the middle of Ringkøbing Fjord. A beautiful landscape awaits you, as far as the eye can see. Besides the panoramic view of the fjord and the surfers on the water, you can see all the way to Søndervig in the north and the old trading town of Ringkøbing in the southeast.
