Wonderful views over the coast and to Wales. I came up some hike a bike crazy bridleway but I'm sure there is easier ways to ascend before you get ready for the crazy single track descent.

It is not so common for a Christian place of worship – which encompasses the whole of heaven – to be dedicated to “ALL SAINTS”. Usually it is one (or occasionally two) named saints who hold the patronage of a church – and thus usually also of the parish or town in which it is located. But to find the origin of such a dedication, one has to go far back in history, because the model for this practice of dedication to ALL SAINTS can be seen as a pagan custom, according to which there were already central temples in pre-Christian times that were dedicated to all deities (PANTHEON). The probably most famous Pantheon, formerly a pagan temple and now a Christian place of worship, is located in the Italian capital.

Parking availability varies depending on the specific trailhead. In Exmoor, you can often find parking near villages like Porlock or Selworthy, which serve as starting points for many routes. For coastal runs on the Isle of Wight, parking might be available in nearby Ventnor or designated car parks along the clifftop paths. It's advisable to check specific route information for detailed parking suggestions.
Public transport access to Luccombe can be limited, especially for trails deep within Exmoor National Park or remote coastal sections on the Isle of Wight. Major towns like Ventnor (Isle of Wight) or Porlock (Exmoor) have better bus connections, but reaching specific trailheads often requires a car or a combination of public transport and a short walk/taxi. Planning your route in advance and checking local bus schedules is recommended.
Luccombe offers great running opportunities year-round, but each season has its charm. Spring and autumn provide pleasant temperatures and beautiful scenery, with wildflowers in spring and vibrant foliage in autumn. Summer is ideal for longer days and coastal runs, though it can be busier. Winter runs can be invigorating, especially on crisp, clear days, but some higher or more exposed trails might be challenging due to weather conditions.
While many trails can become muddy in wet weather, some routes, particularly those with more established paths or lower elevations, might be more suitable. For winter, routes like the Bossington Beach loop offer relatively flat terrain. Always prioritize safety, wear appropriate gear, and check local weather forecasts and trail conditions before heading out in adverse weather.
While many routes offer a sense of tranquility away from amenities, some trails, particularly those starting or ending in villages like Porlock or Selworthy in Exmoor, will have cafes or pubs nearby. It's a good idea to plan your route to include a stop if you're looking for refreshments, as not all trails have facilities directly on them.
