Very fast service, drinks and food were on the table very quickly. Good and hearty food, perfect stop for hikers. The terrace doesn't offer much of a view, but it was windstill and you can enjoy the sun longer.

We were received very kindly and even cooked a delicious meal. The breakfast the next morning was very rich and tasty, which would not have been expected with only three guests. Room and everything very clean (dormitory with fresh bedding). We felt very comfortable here and would come back anytime.

On the Himberg above Puchberg am Schneeberg, the summit cross marks a quiet destination on the (wooded) summit area at 948 m. Nearby are small viewpoints like Geierwand or Theresienfelsen, from which, with good visibility, beautiful views open up to the Schneeberg and the Puchberg basin. The cross fits well as a short, moderate loop from the Kurpark/train station (around 6–7 km and approx. 340 m elevation gain) – perfect for a break and a photo on the go.

The Kaiserstein (2,061 m) marks one of the most famous points on the Schneeberg. A memorial plaque commemorates the ascents of Emperor Franz I in 1805 and 1807. From the summit, you can enjoy an impressive panorama of the Rax, the Vienna Basin, and, on a clear day, all the way to the Hohe Tauern—a place steeped in history and offering breathtaking views.
