In dry conditions, this was rideable on a gravel bike, but watch out for tree roots.

I missed the house for some reason, but it is a scenic estate to cycle through, especially the woodland further up.

Steep indeed! I had to hike my bikepacking load up. Note that for some reason, there is a bicycle-incompatible gate between the meadow and woodland incl. a faded "no bicycles" sign although this appears to be a bridleway. In case you're inclined to lift your bike over the electric fence, watch out whether it is connected (wasn't when I did).

This is a lovely, family run cafe that serves gorgeous hot beverages and delicious food. It enjoys marvellous views across the Chiltern countryside. There are plenty of activities to enjoy nearby, from hiking and cycling to a Go Ape course up in the trees.

Roots add a bit to the challenge of riding this section on a gravel bike, and extra caution in the wet.

Wendover is a lovely little town. A great place to rest your feet with a coffee, cup of tea or a celebratory drink to finish the hike. A good place to gather some supplies too, if needed.
