Wandleys Lane to the left. The huge white house is on the corner of the junction. Not too much traffic on this section, fairly flat land and a chilled out area to ride though

you’ll need boots in winter, it can be steep for some people (like my wife!)

Broken bridge - not a problem in the dry summer, but tricky in wet winter

A lovely walk in the woods, varied forest operations ongoing with felling, conservation, planting, maintenance etc. A drizzly day but still a great walk with my little dog. Had to turn round from a couple of track but not too far; either access restrictions or boring route- prefer the tracks in yhe woods opposed to tarmac alongside fields. Fairmile Bottom is off part of Rewell Wood (Norfolk Estate) which was under lease to the Forestry Commission when I worked there pre 2003. lots of changes re plantations, felling, coppice and new planted areas. Worth a walk or ride (careful if wet as very slippery for cycles - chalk/roots etc) better for walking if been raining. Have fun👍
