The round tower is unusual, making it a "fortified church." The interior is rather plain.

The grain silo of the Reinfeld Claudius Mill was built here in the 1970s. In 1996, the company Johannes Ströh ceased milling operations in Reinfeld. The original plan for the railway crossing involved demolishing the silo. Apparently, they wanted to save costs and routed the road in a conspicuous arc around the old structure. The bats and the mobile network operators will be pleased, but a demolition at some point in the future will now be far more complex. Just as the Lübeck silhouette is defined by its seven distinctive church towers, the Reinfeld skyline will continue to be characterized by three concrete blocks, all built in the 1970s.
