Seats outside in the sun. Plenty of bike space. Tea coffee and usual pub fayre. Worth a rest stop. However, there are 2 other pubs with 10m of the George amazing for a small village. I will sacrifice myself and visit all 3 so you can decide which is the best rest stop for you.

Offord bridge and road by the old Mill is very narrow single car at a time. Very picturesque and worth visiting on a ride. However you need to take a dominant road position to stop cars trying to overtake it just is too narrow for a car and a bike ,(or walkers).

This level crossing goes across 2 High speed tracks and 2 low speed Thameslink tracks so you can be waiting a long time. No easy alternative but Ascent cafe is right there so chill have a coffee and watch for the trains to pass and the gates to open. Then get across as quickly as you can.

This was a fun section of singletrack to ride into Graveley, along fields and through bits of woodland, with a couple of ascents and descents.

The name “Mathematical Bridge” derives from the fact that this bridge is built with entirely straight timbers, though it maintains an arch shape. This makes for some interesting architectural study while punting down the river below it! The legends surrounding the bridge are just as intriguing as its shape.
