A regal 18th-century country house set amongst 809 hectares (2,000 acres) of manicured gardens and parkland. In 1598, the Lord Chancellor of England Sir Thomas Egerton bought the estate and it remained in his family until the late 20th century when it was gifted to the National Trust.

Today, you can visit the estate all year round. Check the website if there are any events as the estate holds hundreds of events annually including the Royal Horticultural Society flower show.

The parkland is open from 10am - 7pm. Entrance costs £7 per adult. You can find more information, here: tattonpark.org.uk

There is a large pub carpark but unless you're going to visit the pub then you could get a frosty reception. However there is also roadside parking . Whatever the Leigh Arms is very pleasant sitting on the banks of the River Weaver serving great food & well kept ales.

Also pass Tatton Park on the charity ride Manchester 100. It can get very busy around the park with cars looking for a parking space. They refuse to give you any room. So take extra care.

There is plenty of parking here, it's advised not to park on the pub car park unless you are going to be a customer. if you are intending to use the pub after your walk, you should be able to use their car park I would just let them know.
