This lovely cycle and walking path was a steelworks until the 1980s. Steel sculptures commemorate the town’s industrial heritage along certain points of the path.

A cycle path leads amongst tall grass, sand and salt marshes here, overlooking the sea. The landscapes attract a huge array of birds. The marshes are just up the coast from the National Wetlands Centre. Look out for sand on the path and be prepared to push at times. The wind dumps sand across the marshes.
