March 17, 2025, River Wensum

The River Wensum is a chalk river flowing from Whissonsett to the River Yarr in Norwich. In the early 2000s, the river was in a state of decline due to siltation and pollution. Since then, improvement works have been undertaken to better the river quality.

Great cake! All homemade

Nothing to distinguish it from hundreds of other similar lanes in rural Norfolk. Narrow with a moderately crappy surface.

Was looking forward to this pub, but sadly it seems to have closed down. Hope it’s open soon

Nice scenic place to pass by rather than a place to stop, a little room at the side of the road but mostly fenced off.
