Nice steep climb from Charlton that levels off with a few spots overlooking the racecourse.

Use the big public car park - it’s difficult to park near the water.

2 hours free parking gives plenty time to take a nice stroll. There’s also a good gastro pub and cafe with outdoor seating (and dog friendly).

Lovely walk which becomes quiet just a short distance from Chi basin. The path is wide and pretty accessible from Chi until Donnington but the section nearest Chi marina is narrow, with nettles encroaching, and rutted/ muddy/ slippy.

Great pub, extremely busy on sunny days/ weekends so meal service can be slow but totally worth the wait. Very limited parking at the pub but that’s ok because we’re hiking there!
