With about 100 inhabitants, Neu-Nuifra is the smallest village in the municipality of Pfalzgrafenweiler, but many consider it the most relaxing. The settlers came from Pfalzgrafenweiler, Grömbach, Baisingen, Dobel Garrweiler, and Spielberg. In 1724, Neu-Nufra became a part of the municipality of Herzogsweiler. The name "Äschenteich" (Ash Pond) is a reminder of the first settlers. In 1858, Neu-Nuifra had 137 inhabitants who earned their living from the forest and agriculture. On the right side of the Waldachtal valley, between Mandelburg and Altnuifra, there was once another place called "Uttenweiler" with its own church, which is said to have disappeared before the Thirty Years' War. The Gäu landscape towards Weitingen (e.g., the A81 Neckartal Bridge) and Hochdorf are not visible. The view from Albrand is excellent, including Tübingen (Morgenstelle University) and Klippeneck.
