From the road, access to the heights of Vardåsen is via a very steep and rocky single track. There are highly technical sections where climbing with a muscular bike can be really challenging. There are large stone steps, some over 1 to 1.5 meters high. It's definitely worth reaching the top, and the descent, although short, is very intense :-)
