The over 100-year-old white poplar is well over 100 years old: It originally stood at the Fügen-Kapfing railway station. It was planted in 1901 to mark the continuation of the railway construction from Fügen to Zell am Ziller. Today, only the lower part of the trunk remains, inside which a small natural chapel houses a statue of Saint Leonard de Noblat, the patron saint of livestock.

The asphalt is good, and you can really put the pedal to the metal on the descents. I'd rather go somewhere else for the climbs, as the traffic here is unfortunately quite heavy.
