This is a good resting spot for multiple purposes. From picnic to wild camping over a swim to BBC, it is all there including a rubbish bin. Long sunshine hours, if you are lucky. Popular place, despite the nearby road and some associated light noise, mostly taken by the trees.

This is by far my favourite swim spot around Lillesand. It ticks all boxes you could think of. Easy access, sand and rocks, clear sweetwater, shallow area for kids and deep for springboard fans, shade and sun, scenic view, clean due to the litter box, perfectly embedded in the beautiful lake and last but not least: A duck family swimming next to you not being afraid of human beings, otherwise you might be lucky and have it for myself.

A nice spot for a stop, where you can swim, picnic, enjoy the view, etc. or just relax. No camping allowed. If you come as a group, there is a net in place to practise some beach volleyball. Nicely arranged and well maintained. For sure, clean, as ususal.

The town hall, old fire station and cathedral all share the same square, making this a good spot to get a feel for the city’s centre.

Very interesting. These cathedral-themed manhole covers are a quirky touch of urban artistry. Proof that even infrastructure can have flair.
