Mountain biking in the Muziekbos? Respect nature! The Muziekbos is a beautiful but fragile nature reserve. Therefore, free mountain biking on the forest paths is not allowed. Cycling is only permitted on the officially designated and signposted MTB routes. This way, we jointly protect the vulnerable nature, including the wild bluebells, and ensure that hikers can enjoy the forest safely. Those who like to go out with a mountain bike can use the official Red MTB loop of Ronse. This challenging route of approximately 33 kilometers runs partly through the Muziekbos and can be combined with the blue loop of Maarkedal or the red loop of Kluisbergen. The narrower walking and play paths are exclusively for pedestrians. However tempting some forest paths may be: stay on the signposted routes with your bike and help protect this unique piece of nature. In short: enjoy the trails, follow the arrows, and leave nature undisturbed.

The Muziekbos is a top location for runners thanks to the challenging elevation gains that will test your fitness. You'll train on soft, unpaved forest paths under a dense canopy that perfectly shields you from sun and wind, with the steep Kanarieberg as the ultimate test.

Take a breather with a view of nature 🌿☀️ This special wooden 'sunbed' is much more than just a resting place. On the edge of the Muziekbos in Ronse, precisely where the dense beech forest transitions into an open nature reserve, you can lean back here and enjoy a wide view over the rolling grasslands and the restored heathland. Behind the fence, an elegant corten steel butterfly silhouette also catches the eye. The artwork refers to the rich insect and butterfly world that feels at home in this open landscape and immediately forms an original backdrop for a nice nature photo. A wonderful place to pause during your walk, close your eyes, and listen to the real music of the forest: rustling leaves, singing birds, and... above all, a lot of peace. The sunbed is also located right along the well-known Muziekbos hiking trail and not far from the historic Geuzentoren. The perfect place to do nothing for a while and fully enjoy the Flemish Ardennes.

A nice place to stay. The terrace is very inviting for having higher-level conversations. (You are 150 meters above sea level) The restaurant is highly recommended... The beautiful menu becomes a reality on your plate and will satisfy your taste buds. Wash it all down with a local beer or a fine wine. It doesn't need to be more than that...
