The origin of the chapel dates back to 1914, when a family hid six Frenchmen on their farm for four years during the First World War. Although everyone in the village knew about the hidden soldiers, no one revealed their hiding place. The soldiers then built the chapel out of gratitude. You can read more about this story on a stone plaque (in French). In addition to taking a break, you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the wooded mountains of the Ardennes from this location.
