That's right, the campsite is now quite large and absolutely fantastic. A new, large bathhouse, showers, toilets, washrooms, sinks, laundry rooms... everything is extremely spacious! And the best part: a heated swimming pool! Highly recommended. You can start many hiking and cycling tours from here. It's located directly on the Pustertal cycle path.

I agree with my previous comment, but I would like to clarify the size of the campsite: it has recently undergone a significant expansion, which has significantly increased the number of available spaces.

Unfortunately, it only happens once a year. In 2024, it was on Sunday (October 13th) at 12:30 p.m. for about half an hour. Cows decorated with large bells walk and sometimes "run" through the street, followed by a parade of brass bands and a few floats. Afterwards, the event continues in the festival tent.

The old nursing home is right next to the church. The large building was once the rectory. In 1454, the house was exchanged for the St. Michaelsburg district court. This meant that the nurses and district judges no longer resided at the Michaelsburg, but in St. Lorenzen. For centuries, the district court and thus also the "office building" were pledged to the Counts Künigl. It housed the office rooms, storage rooms, a dungeon and service apartments. In 1866, during the Venetian War, it served as a military hospital. In 1718, the court clerk's house to the east was built. The court clerk lived here with his family. Since he was largely responsible for police duties, the house was called the "police house". In 1869, the court house became the private property of Count Leopold Künigl. In 1933, the merchant Josef Alverà acquired it.
