The bike path is beautiful and yet a big disappointment. The bike path is a dead end and only passable from Limone. For over a year, access and exit just before Riva have been denied to all cyclists. Unless you are able to lift your bike over a 1-meter high railing. Instead of implementing a speed limit or other measures for traffic safety, it was decided to completely close the access and exit of the bike path.

Surprisingly, the name Limone does not originate from lemon cultivation, but already appears in the 10th century as Limon, Limonum or Limono. Source: Comune di Limone sul Garda

The town of Limone sul Garda is located on the western shore of the northern Lake Garda, between steep cliffs and the lake. The historic old town offers a variety of narrow alleys, squares, stairs, and dreamy cafes. Here you will find a typical Mediterranean flair with palm trees, flowers, and lemon groves. A wonderful little town.

The port of Gargnano at Piazza Feltrinelli is a picturesque spot on the western shore of Lake Garda, serving as a popular meeting place for both boaters and cyclists. From here, magnificent views of the lake and the surrounding mountains await. Cyclists along the lakeside paths can take a break at the port, enjoy the maritime atmosphere, or stop off at the nearby cafés and restaurants. Surrounded by historic buildings such as Palazzo Feltrinelli, the port charmingly combines lakeside, culture, and sports, making it an ideal spot for a short rest or photo stop during a cycling tour on Lake Garda.

Porto San Nicolò is the marina of Riva del Garda, located at the exit of the town toward Torbole. In summer, the bars in front of the harbor are a lively place to party until late into the night.
