Muskauer Park is a garden artwork of universal rank and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wandering along these paths and through this forest is good for the soul. The significance and beauty of Muskauer Park arise from its nature-idealizing design on a large scale. In order not to unnecessarily break the pleasant illusion of a naturally grown landscape space, which simultaneously appears to humans as an enjoyable experiential space, the foundation "Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau" essentially refrains from signposting the extensive park area.(…partly from info board)

Directly on the cycle path, there is a bench and a very interesting information board about the Gotthelf mine, from which the Eichwege swimming lake and approx. 15 other ponds originated. At any time of day or year, many different atmospheric views of the swimming lake are possible, whether it's a sunset (view towards the campsite), through the fresh green in spring, or onto an ice surface like most recently in January/February 2026. Swans and ducks can often be observed.
