Welcome to the SEGEBERG COMMUNITY CENTER website! Since the Bad Segeberg Adult Education Center took over the management of the museum in 2012, the former "local history museum" was gradually converted into the historical city museum over the next three years. For centuries, the community center served as a residence for Segeberg craftsmen. When it was finally scheduled to be demolished in the late 1950s due to extreme dilapidation, old ideas arose to renovate it and turn it into a museum. After extensive renovation work with massive interventions in the historic building structure (1963/64), the city of Bad Segeberg presented the salvaged Segeberg community center as a "local history museum" in the following decades.
