The Regional River Tourist Port of Boretto in the province of Reggio Emilia, is located in the central stretch of the Po River, which crosses the Emilia Romagna Region from Piacenza to Ferrara. Boretto has the most important and equipped River Tourist Port which, with its adjacent vast Lido Po area, makes it a strategic reference point for those who want to discover the provinces of Reggio Emilia, Modena, Ferrara, and Venice. Located on the right bank of the Po, the Port of Boretto is directly behind the main embankment on which the S.S. 62 della Cisa runs, which divides it from the historic center of the town served by the Parma-Suzzara-Mantova railway line. The Lido Po, where the Tourist Port of Boretto is based, is the driving force for the events that take place on the Great River. A touristically accessible place, where you can find the park with an adjacent dance floor and summer bar, the restaurant with a playground, the camper stop area, the tourist information office.

Don Camillo and Peppone are the famous protagonists of a series of stories by the writer Giovannino Guareschi, set in the post-war period in an imaginary village in the Bassa Padana. They represent the archetype of the divided Italy of the 1950s: Don Camillo (the energetic and anti-communist parish priest) and Peppone (Giuseppe Bottazzi, the communist and fiery mayor). Despite furious ideological disputes, the two characters maintain a deep humanity and always find themselves united for the common good of the community.

A special page on the website of the publisher, known primarily for its travel guides, explains: "The strikingly inconspicuous agricultural village of Brescello lies directly on the Po River. (...) and thus predestined for the legendary film adaptation of the endearing stories of "Don Camillo and Peppone" with Fernandel and Gino Cervi. (...) In an archway on Via Giglioli hangs the papier-mâché bell that was supposed to end the church's "bell monopoly."
