The Elbe Cycle Route through Saxon Switzerland is a scenically spectacular, mostly flat section of the over 1,200 km long long-distance cycle route. On both sides of the Elbe, the well-developed, often asphalted route between Schmilka and Pirna leads past bizarre sandstone rocks, the Königstein Fortress, and the Bastei Bridge.

Hubertus Chapel in the Liebling Valley. Neo-Gothic (partially reconstructed), the lower part of the chapel that still stands is old. Testimony to the work of Johann Gottlob von Quandt, of architectural, local historical, and personal historical significance.

The beautiful view of the Elbe sandstone rocks accompanied us from Děčín and it didn't end in Bad Schandau. You never get tired of this view....

No longer a hotel project, now a lost place. Unused building materials still lie in the lost place.

A beautiful stretch along the river through a small forest. A welcome change on hot summer days.😎

View from the Leithenweg: Very nice for soaking up the sun in the dark season, for a detour to the winery or a beautiful view over the Elbe valley to the Hoher Schneeberg. In summer, unfortunately, the promenade is often very busy, but the steep path up is worth it.
