"In FANZOLO Villa del Trivigiano is three miles away from Castelfranco, is the sub-factory of the Magnificent Mr. Leonardo Emo. The cellars, granaries, stables, and other places of the Villa are on one side, and the other side of the dominical house, and in their extremity there are two colobars, that bring profit to the master, & ornament to the place, and for everything you can go indoors: which is one of the main things, which are sought in a house of the Villa, as has been warned above. Behind this building is a square garden of eighty Treviso fields: through which runs a small river, which makes the site very beautiful, and delightful. It was decorated with paintings by M. Battista Venetiano. " Andrea Palladio The Four Books of Architecture, Book II, Vicenza 1570
