The historical heart of the Waldensian faith. A simple and austere temple, like all Protestant temples: here one comes to pray, not to show off that we are richer than our neighbors. Nevertheless, the structure is very beautiful. Panoramic position, with a beautiful view of the valley (and of the Catholic church further down). The fountain in front of the entrance is beautiful and convenient. The WC (always open) on the valley side is also convenient. Access to the structure is protected by a small gate, which is however always open - remember to close it after passing. [Attention upon entering on the right: currently (May 2026) one of the retaining walls of the embankment has collapsed, and the terrace towards the mountain is widely roped off, you can barely pass.] The actual temple, however, is normally closed, because it's fine to trust, but there's a limit. The tombstones on the walls of the entrance vestibule are interesting. You really breathe an air of a sacred place, which I have found in few other places.

Panoramic position in the municipality of Prarostino. Monument to the fallen

The Prarostino Freedom Lighthouse is the town's iconic monument, located in a panoramic position overlooking the Pellice Valley. Inaugurated on June 18, 1967, it was commissioned by the population and local administrators to commemorate the 600 partisans who fell in the 51 municipalities of the Pinerolo valleys during the War of Liberation. Designed by architects Roberto Gabetti and Aimaro Isola, the monument is a 15-meter-high rough stone lattice tower, topped by a lighthouse whose light is visible from afar. Every year, at the end of June, the municipality organizes a commemorative ceremony in memory of the fallen and the values of the Resistance. Just before the lighthouse, on the other side of the square, there is an e-bike charging station.

Alpe Criuliro is a mountain pasture located at 1,600 meters above sea level, in the upper part of the Val d’Angrogna. It is the ideal place for a relaxing break immersed in the silence and nature of the Cottian Alps, with wide panoramic views of the Val Pellice, the Infernet valley and the surrounding mountains.

The tower and lighthouse located near the center of Prarostino, is of recent construction (1967) and was erected in memory of 600 partisans killed by neo-fascism. You can climb to the top of the balcony to admire the splendid panorama, even if the passage in the steps is a bit narrow, but protected by a railing.

A long road that is unpaved in the upper part, connects the Chisone valley (municipality of Pramollo) to the Germanasca valley (municipality of Perrero) and the Lazzarà hill is its highest point at 1595 meters. Destination of beautiful walks and bike rides, but it can also be reached by car if the road is not icy. A few meters away there is the green big bench
