Church of Saints Francis and Bernardino It was originally the church of the Confraternity of the Disciplined, built on the remains of a previous one from 1664. Among the most important works inside are four wall paintings (18th century) - partly damaged by humidity - that represent episodes from the life of St. Francis of Assisi. Also interesting are the high altar with marble inlay and the balustrade, originally carved for the parish church and brought here in 1728. Rebuilt from 1650 and completed in 1746 to be used by the faithful who lived in an area quite far from the city center, it bears the imprint of two different buildings. The north side of the building and the bell tower probably date from the eleventh century. The high altar is surmounted by a canvas, representing the Holy Family and with a gilded and painted wooden altarpiece, the work of Pietro Lace di Andorno (1718). Among the paintings, those of Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Francis of Assisi, dated 1651, are noteworthy. https://www.viefrancigene.org/it/resource/poi/cavaglia/
