Thethi Church is one of the most impressive buildings in the village, set amidst a beautiful and expansive meadow in the center of the village. Some impressive old linden trees nearby add a lovely natural element to the church's landscape. The old church of Thethi was built in 1892 on the same site as the current one. It had a simple rectangular design with an apse behind the chancel.

Public transport to more remote trailheads, particularly in the Albanian Alps like Theth and Valbona, often involves a combination of furgons (minibuses) from Shkodër and sometimes a ferry trip across Komani Lake. It's advisable to arrange transport in advance, especially for Theth, as direct public bus services are limited. Local guesthouses often assist with transport arrangements.

It's recommended to check specific trailhead information if driving.
Generally, permits are not required for day hiking in most areas of the Albanian Alps, including Theth and Valbona National Parks. However, if you plan to undertake multi-day treks, especially those crossing borders (like sections of the Peaks of the Balkans trail), or if you intend to camp in specific protected zones, it's wise to check with local authorities or park information centers for any specific regulations or permits that might apply.
While regulations can vary, dogs are generally tolerated on many hiking trails in the Shkodër region, especially in less developed areas. However, within national parks like Theth and Valbona, it's always best to keep dogs on a leash to protect wildlife and ensure the safety of other hikers. Always clean up after your pet.
