It is the main square of the village and a local landmark: historic center buildings overlook it and village activities, such as the market or public gatherings, often take place here. In the past, it was also a meeting place for events and walks in Monferrato.

The Lenti Band was a partisan brigade formed after September 8, 1943, around Agostino Lenti, a former Alpine officer, and Mario Manassero, a soldier in the Royal Army. They quickly became a point of reference and a rallying point for a dozen young men, draft evaders, from Camagna Monferrato. By the summer of 1944, the group had established links with other rebel groups developing in the area, eventually joining the Matteotti Brigades active in the area.

In my opinion one of the most beautiful villages in Monferrato, surrounded by hazelnut groves, vineyards and lavender fields.

Built in Romanesque-Gothic style around the middle of the 15th century, the church of S. Maria Nuova was built on the pre-existing Parish Church of San Pietro (which became the Crypt of San Valerio, still open to visitors). The façade retains its original style, with a central Baroque portal from 1750 and a 37-meter-high bell tower from the late 19th century.
