The mountain roads and the ascents to Sella Carnizza from the north and south are continuously asphalted and concreted. It is freely accessible to everyone and only has some broken asphalt and concrete sections from the saddle towards Resiutta. The routes are quite narrow, with many hairpin bends and secured by guardrails. The ascent from Resiutta has a slightly wider road layout than the ascent from Uccea. The saddle is located in a wooded area and offers no views into the valleys. The climbs are challenging, although there are hardly any ramps.
