This beach near Redewisch is a little gem. From here you can see and also hike the cliff coast. Or simply sit and dip your feet in the water. A ramp leads down to the beach, which is also easy to manage for people with mobility impairments. We were almost alone here in May and really enjoyed the great sandy beach and the peace and quiet.

Wismar and its fish stands are legendary – primarily because you can still get the fish right where it belongs: by the water. The Old Harbour is the heart of it all if you're looking for an authentic fish roll or freshly caught fish.

The Old Harbour of Wismar is much more than just a mooring place – it is the maritime heart of the city and one of the most authentic places on the Baltic coast. As Wismar is a UNESCO World Heritage site, the harbour has retained its historical charm without appearing like a museum village.

A visit to the "Kutterkaten" fish restaurant at Wismar's Old Harbor is highly recommended. Here you can enjoy delicious fish dishes, with prompt and friendly service. It's also said to be the best fish restaurant in town!

A very beautiful and worth seeing harbor. When I was there (on September 7, 2025), three old sailing ships were also on display: a replica of an old cog from the Hanseatic period, as well as a three-masted ship and a two-masted ship.

Here you can find smoked fish specialties, fish sandwiches, fried fish, etc. Cruise ships are sometimes built here, too. Here's the Disney Adventure, one of the biggest! 😁😃! The biggest!
