Davide Fioraso
July 6, 2026, Murale di Sant'Erasmo

Created by the Palermitan artist Igor Scalisi Palminteri in July 2019, the mural depicts Saint Erasmus, the patron saint of fishermen. The painting, in a very evocative position overlooking the homonymous small harbor, is "dedicated to all the women and men who save our sisters and brothers at sea". Today it has also become a strong symbol of protection and welcome for those arriving or working in the Sicilian city.

Inaugurated in July 2017, the mural in memory of Paolo Borsellino and Giovanni Falcone was created at the behest of the National Association of Magistrates, on a wall of the "Gioieni-Trabia" Nautical Institute in Palermo. The large portrait, inspired by the famous photograph by Tony Gentile, was created by the Sicilian street artists Rosk and Loste.

From this point, you can enjoy a pleasant view of the small harbor and the 12th-century Tower of San Nicola l'Arena. The tower once served to defend a tuna fishery from pirate attacks.
