Created by the Palermitan artist Igor Scalisi Palminteri, in July 2019, the mural depicts Saint Erasmus, the protector of fishermen. The painting, in a very evocative position, overlooking the homonymous small harbor, is "dedicated to all the women and men who save our sisters and brothers at sea". Today it has also become a strong symbol of protection and welcome for those arriving or working in the Sicilian city.

The large portrait, inspired by the famous photograph by Tony Gentile, was created by the Sicilian street artists Rosk and Loste.

From this point, you can enjoy a pleasant view of the small harbor and the 12th-century Tower of San Nicola l'Arena. The tower once served to defend a tuna fishery from pirate attacks.
