For a while, there's no shoulder here; you walk on the road. Drivers are familiar with this and generally drive considerately.

The Laghetto d'Umbra is a rainwater-fed lake. The turtles living here were released, but they seem to thrive here.

The Torre dei Preposti or dei Doganieri is an imposing coastal tower located in the renowned seaside resort of San Menaio, in the municipality of Vico del Gargano, in the province of Foggia. Built in the 14th century, it was reinforced in 1569 during the strengthening of the defense of the southern Adriatic coast by the Spanish viceroy Don Pedro di Toledo after 1532. The tower, which boasts a fair state of conservation, is structurally made up of a truncated pyramid base surmounted by a two-level parallelepiped. The crown is formed by a series of protruding "corbels", still visible, which supported the machicolations that extended along the entire perimeter of the tower.
