Beautiful resting place - until a few decades ago, a tree over 500 years old stood here, named in honor of Prince Wilhelm Borwin III, who sold the forest area of Rostocker Heide to the people of Rostock in the 13th century (still considered one of the best deals in the city's history). You can still see the remains of the toppled giant tree. The current specimen of the Borwin Oak was planted in 1992.
