Tips from the Community

Paolo Morelli 🍄
October 18, 2020, Ex-Colonia Elioterapica Fluviale di Botta di Pieve di Cento

The ex-fluvial heliotherapy colony in the locality of Botta di Pieve di Cento is an original monument dedicated to the memory of the war dead that housed the children of Pieve during the summer. It was built in 1928 and enlarged in 1932. Originally, three tombstones were walled up in the pediment: two bearing the list of the names of the fallen from Pievesi; the third the Victory Bulletin. The coats of arms were created by a local artist, Berlinghiero Busi. The monument is completed by the inscriptions in memory of the fallen on the facade and the dedication to the young people on the back.
