You are riding through the area of the former fishing settlement of Beka, which existed here since the Middle Ages. The inhabitants fought against constant storms and the flooding of the land by the Baltic Sea until the village was finally abandoned in the 1960s. Today, the only memento of the former huts is a lonely wooden cross placed in the trunk of an old oak tree right on the shore of the Bay of Puck, and the foundations of the former settlement hidden in the grass.

Actually nice, but on the first weekend of September, with good weather, it was very busy with touring cyclists and therefore a bit strenuous to ride.

The ascent: 134 to 136 steps lead up a steep reinforced concrete spiral staircase inside the tower to the glazed viewing gallery. The view: Once at the top, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the Baltic Sea coast, the beach, the directly adjacent wooden pier of Sopot, and the city's rooftops. Special highlight: After descending, visitors traditionally receive a personal certificate at the exit confirming the successful climb of the tower. Admission prices: Admission is inexpensive. A regular ticket costs around 10 PLN (approx. €2.30), reduced tickets are 8 PLN. Card payment is accepted on site.

The first spa house was built in 1824 by Jean Georg Haffner. The building has been rebuilt or renovated several times over the years; the current building is the fourth construction at this location. It is located directly at the head of the famous, long pier of Sopot. It is NOT the Grand Hotel, which most pictures show.
