Beautiful grotto and the path up is short and easy to walk.

The "path" to Mt. Grotta Grande (1084 m) around Mt. Puraccia (1157 m) back (parking at the chapel, there's only room for about three vehicles) isn't a path, but rather a free-roaming route, with occasional sheep or goat trails. It's not particularly dangerous, but it's strenuous and confusing. Only accessible in good weather, but in spring, the trail is awash with flowers. Definitely don't expect an easy path! The views, however, are fantastic!

Beautiful round, partly without a path through pastureland and through fences

From this stretch of the road you can see the remains of the imposing monastery of San Giorgio. It is worth making the short detour downhill to see it up close. It is also a great place to camp, a truly special location.

An ancient, isolated, open-air abbey. It remains slightly below the route we followed
