It's really impressive to stand in front of a 1,000-year-old oak tree and think about what it may have seen.

We wanted to go this tour today, July 6th, 2021. The rains of the last few days have probably caused the water level to rise so strongly that some paths are impassable. So the section in the east of the lake, south of Johannesberg, as well as from the Radowwehr towards Löcknitz. From Johannesberg we walked along Retziner Straße in a south-easterly direction to the Schillerbach. There you can get back along the Schillerbach in the direction of the lake and the old route. Unfortunately, the turn around was announced behind the weir, as there is no short bypassing of this area. Perhaps you should ask in town at the beginning of the tour about the water level and accessibility.
