The Pico Tres Mares offers a great view of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The three valleys, each separated by mountain ridges, drain via their respective river systems into the Mediterranean Sea (Rio Hijar / Ebro), the Cantabrian Sea (Rio Nansa), and the Atlantic Ocean (Rio Pisuerga), from which the summit gets its name. From up here, you can also clearly see the beginning of the path to Peña Labra, which essentially runs along or near the ridge to the west - and with reasonably good visibility, the Picos de Europa are clearly visible to the northwest, standing out distinctly from the surrounding mountains of the Cordillera Cantabrica, even if some are not that much lower. There is a viewing platform at the summit - not pretty, but it allows even visitors without mountain experience to look around safely.

Braña (high meadow) located at over 1000 meters altitude, full of cows and horses (mostly). It is a pleasure to see them grazing peacefully while you hear their bells. It has a trough always full of very fresh water and a water tank next to it, and wonderful views of the Nansa and Saja valleys.

Collado de Brañalengua, with a trough of fresh water where local animals go to regain their strength. It’s a spectacle to see how the horses have come down running to drink, and then the same with the cows

At 2029 meters above sea level, the top of Peña Labra is located in a privileged place. It represents the border between the Community of Cantabria and Castilla y León, so to the north you will have impressive views of the Cantabrian interior and the mountains of the Picos de Europa National Park, while to the south you will be able to appreciate another wonderful landscape such as the of the Montaña Palencia Natural Park. Crowning its peak is for the most daring, very technical sectors and not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo, but it has a great reward.
