We start directly at the city wall. It is almost completely preserved with a length of 2.3 km. The city was founded on January 4, 1248. The many watchtowers along the wall are striking, 25 of which have been reconstructed. https://youtu.be/H8vlyHxWDZo

The thousand-year-old oak stands 1.5 km southeast of Löcknitz near the northern shore of Lake Löcknitz. The oak is also called the Irmtrud oak. The oak is said to have been planted in 1128 by Irmtrud, the wife of the later Löcknitz castle governor Thomas de Lokenitz. In 1995 the oak was restored. The trunk has several openings that have been filled in. A wedge-shaped opening reaches down to the ground, a former branch left another hole. Both openings were closed. The first main branch branches off horizontally at a height of 3 to 4 m. The trunk reaches over 10 m high without branches and continuously tapers. Numerous cut surfaces of previous branches can be seen. The crown is set high and not particularly large. There are a few dead branches. The oak is still in good condition.
