The Yanushkevich family estate is a unique art object not only for Rakov itself, but for the whole of Belarus. The idea of creating a museum in his hometown came to Yanushkevich after Felix visited the Salvador Dali Theatre-Museum in Figueres, Spain. It was then that the candidate of art history, restorer, and famous artist Felix Yanushkevich left the capital and moved to his homeland, Rakov, to create a treasury of art there. In the gallery, you can find items from different periods and on different themes. The gallery is the largest collection of ceramics in Europe, about 1,700 items. Ancient documents, furniture, musical instruments, fragments of Slutsk belts, which were once woven in Rakov, and much, much more are preserved here. Today, the gallery has more than 12 thousand exhibits.
