Kershamn is an idyllic little settlement on the island of Revøy with some impressive homes. Enjoy the glorious coastal sweep or hike up to the shelter and viewpoint at nearby Vakthuset. A leisurely loop of the island is a great way to spend an hour or two.

Visit Norway describes a stroll in Korshamn as "a balm for the soul". While I'm not inclined to such hyperbole unless writing about mountains and the like, an amble here undoubtedly pleasant. The village has a rich fishing heritage, while the surrounding waters are popular with divers.

In the summer, Farsund's keeper (Norway's only keeper) welcomes tourists to the quay with fresh bread rolls just in time for their morning coffee. In addition to water and electricity for the boats, the marina also has toilets, showers and a washing machine/dryer. Farsund Marina has been voted Norway's best marina several times. With beautiful mountains in the background, old houses, flowers and great atmosphere, this is the right mooring for your boat. Despite the rainy weather, we saw that Farsund is a pretty place and worth a walk along the harbor and in the town center.
