The building was funded by Count Zdzisław Zamoyski. Construction work began in 1882 thanks to the efforts of Father Piotr Brzozowski. Construction was completed in 1886. The church was consecrated by the Archbishop of Warsaw, Father Wincenty Teofil Popiel. Since 1893, the church has housed relics of the Holy Cross donated by Cardinal Mieczysław Ledóchowski, Archbishop of Gniezno and Poznań. They are currently framed in a cross-shaped reliquary. On September 15, 2013, the church in Jadów was raised to the rank of the Sanctuary of the Holy Cross by the Archbishop of Warsaw-Praga Henryk Hoser.

You can eat very good ice cream in the ice cream parlor. There are only a few flavors to choose from, and quite traditional. Still worth it. However, I do not recommend whipped cream. Note - it is worth getting ready to stand in the queue.

There are huge moors in the vicinity of this route. It is really beautiful in the fall. However, a lot of people come here. You should watch out for Pedestrians walking in the woods and cars parked anywhere.
