It was created in 1933 (one of the oldest protected areas in Poland) to protect a multi-species natural forest with fir. There are several educational paths within the reserve, and there are also recreation shelters. A place worth visiting also with the youngest, there is one short path for children "In the footsteps of Badger Lucka", with wooden sculptures.
