Formerly Marktplatz (market square), its old buildings have been destroyed during the war. Where today there is a bus stop, the town hall building was connected to the police headquarters. Opposite, a monument commemorating those who died in the war of 1870–1871 was erected. Currently, the role of the town hall is played by the former courthouse, clearly visible from the square. The center of the square is a green square with a fountain and wooden sculptures of dwarves.
