The brick Gothic parish church was built in the first half of the 15th century, although the first changes to what was probably a wooden church date back to 1389. A brick sacristy was added to the old church, probably when construction of the nearby castle began. During the construction of the new brick church, the sacristy walls were also raised. There is a five-part northern porch. Inside, there is an interesting medieval granite baptismal font.

The castle in Barciany is an impressive example of Gothic Teutonic architecture from the 14th century, located on a small hill surrounded by former marshes. Although it lacks tall towers, it has retained its massive shape and defensive character, making it an interesting testimony to the evolution of monastic castles. After the war, it served economic functions and is currently closed to visitors, although its silhouette can be admired from the outside. The castle is easy to reach by bike, it is worth planning a short stop here for photos and to learn the history of the place.

The estate belonged to the von Schlieben counts until 1824 and later to the Totenhoefer-Birkenfeld family. The manor house from the 1920s has neo-Baroque features with an unchanged layout of massive farm buildings. Restored, it remains in private hands.
